John is the Senior Pastor at Marshall Baptist Church. He grew up in a missionary home and felt the call on his life to return one day. He attended this church while in college, where he met Merri, the love of his life. In 1988, after marriage and Bible college, they left to serve the Lord in Cote d' Ivoire, West Africa. They had a fulfilling ministry there for many years, until a civil war broke out and their family had to be evacuated by the military. In 2004, upon returning home, John was called as Pastor of Marshall Baptist, and has been here for the last 20 years, teaching and training believers to glorify the Lord in everything they do - 1 Corinthians 10:31.

John and Merri have 4 married daughters, 9 grandchildren, and have been married for 42 years. John graduated from Piedmont Bible College with a Bachelor of Theology degree and a minor in missions. 

Nathan is the Youth Pastor at Marshall Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, where he has served for the past 10 years. He and his wife Heidi have been happily married for 16 years. They homeschool their 3 boys, and enjoy being active in the ministry together, as a family. Nathan loves teaching young people & has a strong desire for them to know the Lord and understand that they can use their talents and gifts to serve Him now!

He graduated from Piedmont Baptist College in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, with a Bible & Christian ministry focus.
